Not to be confused with Marathi Lost and Found (2016), Lost and Found (2016) is a movie in the mystery genre.

The film starts with Andrew ‘Andy’ Walton, a high schooler, losing a 200m swimming race by a single stroke. At a supermarket Andy’s mom works at, Andy, loses his temper and rams a trolley into a stack of drink cans, ending up his mom losing her job and staying with his brother Mark at his Uncle Trent’s house on Walton Island.

It is speculated that on the island Trent lives on, Andy and Mark’s eccentric grandpa, Richard Walton had buried his fortunes and disappeared. The fact was that no one knew where and when Richard buried the treasure. Hence, it was up to Andy and Mark to find the treasure because Trent and Jim (Andy & Mark’s dad) didn’t make an effort to find the treasure because they believed there was no treasure.  Want to know more? Watch the film!

This is the first mystery film I have watched which is for kids, teens and adults. A tediously long mission covered in just 91 minutes, yet I got every detail. How brilliant is that, eh? The sequence that the movie follows is perfect. The start also made sense. But the final scene was picturized well, however, was unneeded.

The movie had these flaws:

  •        It had too little obstacles.
  •        It was quite short.
  •        The mystery could have been more complicated to solve.

Still, I wholeheartedly recommend this movie because:

1. It has an amazing plot.

2. It has terribly good acting.

3. It is an original idea. Many of the mystery films I have watched are based on books.

4. It had such a beautiful setting I was blown away.

5. Overall, THE MOVIE IS REAL THRILLING!
