Highly
recommended.
A young Carl watches a 40’s documentary
about the famed explorer Charles F. Muntz, who has just entered the Venezuelan
wilderness. Later, playing with his balloon, he hears noises from an old,
abandoned house, and realizes it is a girl, who introduces herself as Ellie.
Her dream, to get to the Venezuelan wilderness and keep her home there. As
adults, they get married and adjust the house to look like the one in Ellie’s
drawing. The two decide to have a baby and they build a nursery, but Ellie
suffers a miscarriage and is unable to have babies. Years later, Ellie passes
away. Couple of years later, Carl attaches thousands of balloons at this house,
floating up in the sky, to pursue his and Ellie’s dream of living in the
Venezuelan wilderness, and to get away from the builders who were building
skyscrapers around his house. A cheeky little Wilderness Explorer (Boy Scout
sort of) named Russell hitches on. Want to know more? Watch the movie!
I really liked the movie. When I was
little, I watched the movie and barely [SB1] understood it. Now, having reviewed
movies [SB2] for a little over a year, I
understood the movie. I found the start to be rather cute, with a young Carl
Fredricksen being a shy boy and Ellie was his first true friend. The title
sequence known as ‘Married Life’, was just amazing. This movie is also very
funny! For
[SB3] example, Muntz’s army of dog cronies
hating squirrels and trying to drive away any who come to him. I am still
trying to find out where did the squirrel go? No flaws at all.
I
wholeheartedly recommend this movie because:
1.
The
story is amazing.
2.
The
Married Life montage is super.
3.
The
animation is spot on.
4.
The
characters are cute.
5.
Overall,
THIS MOVIE IS SUPER!
