Amazing. Spectacular. Not wrong with this one, at all.

One day, Luca, a sea monster, finds out that all his fish have escaped, and he needs to get them back before his mom notices. After dealing with a rather pesky fish, he finds a couple of human objects, like a playing card and a wrench. After seeing those things, Luca’s parents berate him by ‘why did you go to the surface’ and ‘they are only here to do murder’. Luca remains very curious about the surface, while not allowing himself to go there. One day, while fooling around near the surface, he finds what seems to be a human diver, but is a fellow sea monster named Alberto. He teaches Luca the basics of being on land, and also tells him about a Vespa, which you can sit on it and it takes you anywhere in the world you want. To gain the Vespa, they go to the nearby village of ‘Portorosso’, on the Italian Rivera. Over there, they get taken to live with Giulia Marcovaldo, the father of whom is a fisherman. To get money to buy the vespa, they compete in the Portorosso Cup, the prize is a cash prize of 5,000 euro. Want to know more? Watch the movie!

THE BEST. I don’t know about any other movies, but this the best of all the ones I have watched. Expecting “The Mitchells vs. The Machines” to be better, but I am unable to imagine how? Anyways, I liked the character of Ercole Visconti. I also noticed that Visconti is similar to Gaston from Beauty and the Beast as both characters started off as simple jerks and later attempted to kill one of the main characters for their own benefit. Random Fact related to the movie: Luca calls Visconti a catfish because ‘they have two sad little whiskers’, referencing his tiny little moustache. Also the Borat guy Sacha Baron Cohen is also in this movie as Uncle Ugo! Flaws: None that I could notice. Happiness: Unlimited, unlimited.

I wholeheartedly recommend this movie because:

1.       The plot is amazing.

2.       The characters are one of a kind.

3.       As usual, Pixar has made an outstanding effort in developing the movie, making it an amazing one.

4.       The voice acting is top-notch.

5.       The cluelessness of Luca when he comes on land for the first time is superbly done.

6.       Overall, THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING!

Thank you!

Next up: The Mitchells vs. The Machines (not exactly).
