A literally mindblowing Disney
Pixar movie, Inside Out (2015) is a perfect for your mind movie.
The movie starts with the birth
of a girl named Riley. Joy, the protagonist, explains about herself, her
friends, and Riley’s mind. One day, Riley must move to San Francisco from
Minnesota. This angers her emotions- Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Anger and Fear. One
fine day, Sadness accidentally creates a new sad core memory-a thing that
creates Riley’s personality (which is usually happy) and drops all others. This
takes Joy and Sadness out of the Mind Headquarters where they work and end up
into Long term Memory, a place where Riley’s memories are stored. Joy and
Sadness plan to take Goofball Island as a shortcut to HQ, but due to not having
the core memory required to make the island function, the island collapses. Joy
and Sadness run into Bing Bong, Riley’s childhood imaginary friend. With his help,
the duo tries to go back to HQ. Want to know more? Watch the movie!
I really like the theme of the
movie. Dream Productions is great, but it produces quite abstract dreams. Are they
mashed into the Abstract thing? The mind is gigantic! Why don’t you make a
detailed map of the mind with all the zones and ‘déjà vu’s? So, the rights and
lefts will be easier for one who falls into Long Term Memory. Why don’t you
make an Inside Out 2? I heard rumours that it is releasing this year (2020).
Make that a reality, please. Pixar, you make great movies, but this was the
best.
I wholeheartedly recommend this
movie because:
- It has a good plot.
- It has a good theme.
- It wasn’t mindlessly long like other Pixar movies.
- It has pure comedy (it’s also one of Riley’s traits).
- Overall, THIS MOVIE IS GREAT!
