This review’s
going to turn RED.
Meilin Lee
is an outgoing, smart, and happy 13-year-old girl, who always gets an A+ in
everything. Her mother Ming Lee promotes this behavior, by forcing Meilin to
study for most of the time. Her family owns a Chinese Temple in the city of
Toronto where they live. One day, Mei, with her three friends Miriam, Priya,
and Abby, after school departs, peek at the nearby convenience store clerk
NAMED Devon, who all of them, except Mei, have a crush on. Mei stands up and reminds
them of the popular boy band 4*TOWN, who Mei has a crush on. Later that day,
when Mei and Ming are watching a soap opera on TV, the first commercial to be
shown in the break is one of 4*TOWN announcing a North American tour. Mei gets
excited, but Ming disapproves of the band and gags at the sight of their
gyrations.
That night,
Mei’s perfectly normal dreams turn into odd floppy dreams, where all her
crushes ever turn into weird, strange, animalistic forms. The next day, as Mei goes
into the bathroom to brush, she notices that she has turned into a giant red
panda. Want to know more? Watch the movie!
This movie
is great. I’ve watched this movie at least 5 times, and it never gets boring. The
panda transformation is epic, and I love the bo band’s songs, especially Nobody
Like U. The lyrics are kinds cringe, but
the tune is great. There aren’t any flaws, a one-up from other recent Pixar
films.
I
wholeheartedly recommend this movie because:
1.
The
characters are great.
2.
The
setting is wonderfully fleshed out.
3.
The
music is epic.
4.
The
panda is awesome.
5.
Overall,
THERE’S NOTHING LIKE THIS MOVIE!
