A thrilling
but one-watch movie.
WARNING! THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR KIDS.
Nikhil
Singh is a rich, workaholic young man who lives in Thailand with his
girlfriend, Tara Mishra. Nikhil works for a giant firm, as a head executive,
while Tara is a happy, joyous, and carefree woman who is a professional
actress. Nikhil is not good to Tara, and often forgets to do things for her. Tara
once proposes to Nikhil, and asks to meet her parents to cement a marriage, but
Nikhil shoves her aside and declines, saying he is happy how things are between
them and he is preoccupied with his work. One day, after a presentation in
Nikhil’s office, Nikhil sets out to go home, but later, he is reminded by his
friends that Tara’s performance of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is
scheduled for that evening. The taxi driver of the taxi that Nikhil uses
suggests that Nikhil buys flowers for Tara to gift, and Nikhil agrees. Later
that night, after dinner, Tara and Nikhil have an argument and Tara goes in a
taxi all on her own, but a speeding car crashes into the taxi, leaving Tara
dead. Nikhil cries hard, and he returns home and cries himself to sleep. The next
day, Nikhil sees that Tara is alive and deduces he has been given a second
chance to fix his mistakes. Want to know more? Watch the movie!
I thought
this movie was just above average, kinda likable but also pretty cliché. Nikhil
was depicted as TOO workaholic for his age, but the relationship was also decent.
Act 2 of the film (Nikhil’s second chance) was better than the first, and it
also made sense that Nikhil would not tell he had relived the day earlier, and the
day before was the same. And, who was the taxi driver? A kind of omnipotent
Eldritch god? Seems like it. There were flaws, but I’m too lazy to write them down.
I wholeheartedly
recommend this movie because:
1.
The
twist is great.
2.
The
music is great.
3.
The
character development is epic.
4.
The
settings are beautiful.
5.
Overall,
I think this movie’s just fine.
