Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
Ello, gov’nor!
That’s the only word I have to
describe this movie.
Get on to the review.
We get introduced to a street
performer named Bert, who also serves as our narrator. Bert explains that this
is London in 1910, and a former British Navy officer named Admiral Boom, who
accurately gets time correct and Greenwich relies on him for time. Boom also
fires a firework every day exactly at 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. At 17 Cherry Tree Lane,
we see that a wealthy banker named Mr Banks has two rambunctious children, who
go missing as usual and later return, with their kite that had gone missing. Their nanny
quits because it was the fourth time the kids went missing in the week and their mother Winifred, an
infamous suffragette, goes off to protest. Later that night, Mr and Mrs. Banks
decide on having a harsh and disciplinarian nanny who will train both the
children into being fit for being bankers. Meanwhile, the Banks twins have made
their own advert for a nanny, which involved a good, caring and sweet nanny. So
later, Mary Poppins arrives and is reluctantly asked to be a nanny by Mr Banks.
Poppins turns every chore into a game, starting by cleaning up the nursery by
snapping their fingers. Want to know more? Watch the movie!

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
Yeah. Very fun. The soundtrack was AMAZING!
Especially ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’ and ‘Step in Time’. It was a
musical film all along, and only people who were born in London WWI will know it, as it is old-timey 1910-ish
British style music. The style of the music is supposed to be 1910’s-ish, since
it takes place in 1910! Admiral Boom’s later attack on the chimney-sweeps who
were dancing on the rooftop of the Banks house was silly, even Boom commenting
on Bert’s defection of a firework was funny. Did I mention that this movie also included
animated animals who were talking and some cute little waiter penguins who
performed a little tap dance? I couldn’t find any flaws in this review.
I wholeheartedly recommend this
movie because:
1.
The
acting is cool.
2.
The storyline is nice.
3.
The.
Songs. Are. The. Best.
4.
The
characters (especially the animated ones) are also cute.
5. Overall, THE MOVIE IS SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!
