Kaanbhatt (2021)

Director& Producer: Aparna S Hosing

Cast: Rugved Mule (Prabhat) Bhavya Shinde (Kaanbhatt) Sanjeev Tandel (Acharya Vishwananda)

A kind of nice movie, Kaanbhatt is quite good in several parts.

Prabhat Gangadhar Date, a naughty seven-year-old boy has just had his munja/ upanayana, namely the thread ceremony. After a long list of complaints by moaning adults about Prabhat, his father decides to send him to a Vedic school against his own wish. Over there, Prabhat keeps on whining about not liking it and tries to escape several times. One certain night, he manages to escape and feeling tired, he goes to sleep on the bank of the Ganga river. There he meets a sanyasi named Kaanbhatt, who Prabhat begs to take him home. Kaanbhatt takes the boy home and gives him some food. Prabhat asks for the time of the train home. Kaanbhatt reveals that the train is at 11 in the night, and tells Prabhat to return to the school. The delighted boy obliges and at night tries to sneak out to the railway station. Want to know more? Watch the movie.

I liked the acting of Sanjeev Tandel, Anil Chatre and Bhavya Shinde. The idea to show that there is a deep connection between modern science and Vedic science is amazing, except it could have been explained elaborately in the movie. The escape plan of Prabhat is exciting and thrilling! Also, how his friend in Vedic school helps him to escape is fun to watch.

I recommend this movie because:

1.       The acting is epic.

2.       The idea about the interconnectedness of science and faith is great.

3.       Kaanbhatt’s house is cool!

4.       The setting which was chosen is also super.

5.       Overall, THIS MOVIE is nice.
