A really funny parody of the
traditional superhero movie and a one where a villain is a hero, Megamind
(2010) is the perfect spoof.
One day, a big brain guy is seen
falling into a lake. He tells his story up till then. When he was only eight
days old, his planet was sucked into a black hole. He was sent from an escape
pod to Earth, with a piranha named Minion. From a neighboring planet, a
(better) escape pod comes out of it containing ‘Mr Goody-Two-shoes’. From that
day, both of them became rivals. The guy in the better space pod landed in a
mansion and the one with minion landed in a prison in the same city. Both became
lifelong rivals, turned superhero and supervillain. One day, the one in the
prison and the one in the mansion named Megamind and Metro Man respectively,
engage in Armageddon and Megamind kills Metro man. With the whole of Metro City
under Megamind’s control, Megamind and Minion have fun everywhere. Megamind starts felling empty and creates a
new superhero out of Hal Stewart, a dim-witted cameraman of news reporter
Roxanne Ritchi. However, Hal, now going as Tighten, learns that being a villain
is more fun. The rest of the movie is
yours to see.

I love this movie. My favorite now,
second only to Mr. Peabody and Sherman (2014). Megamind (the character)
is totally hilarious. His pronunciation of ‘hello’ is the funniest*. Minion is
a perfect balance of ‘I will listen to my master’ and ‘I can deny with my
master’. The running gag of Minion correcting Megamind is really funny. The
most shown invention of Megamind’s is the shapeshifting thing, where you can
change your looks and voice to someone else’s*. Why does Megamind consider his
high-controlled prison ‘home’*? His lair is his home*. Because he lives there
for most of the movie. The Metro man Museum* Is great. Did that consist of a
figure of a superhero’s DNA or Metro Man’s DNA*? Ben Stiller’s cameo as Bernard
is cool. The elements for being a superhero are true*. I will develop them and
be a real superhero 😊. Roxanne doesn’t really need
saving, she is someone who can think for herself. Anyways, this movie is
FLAWLESS!
