Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension (2011)

A (TV) movie based on Phineas and Ferb (cartoon series), Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension is a dynamic movie.

The movie starts with Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Baljeet, Buford and Irving creating a device enabling them to play badminton with Perry. But they accidentally run into Dr. Doofenshmirtz and his Other dimension-inator and much to Perry’s dismay, Phineas and Ferb fix it. They then go to another dimension where a more intelligent and successful version of Dr. D exists. Then Phineas and Ferb realize that Perry was ‘Agent P’ all along (something that P&F had no idea about).  Phineas disowns Perry and Perry leaves (‘I Walk Away’). But P&F realize that 2nd dimension Doofenshmirtz is truly evil and they have to get rid of him (or his rule) once and for all, with the help of the Resistance. Want to know more? Watch the movie!

I liked the movie overall. The quotes were a complete hoot. Some were just peachy, while others were mindblowing. Doofenshmirtz of dimension 2 did have enough backstories, but that one was enough. Monogram 2’s role in the movie was small, but good enough. The things that helped them were their Big Ideas from previous episodes. I can list some out:

  •        The treehouses from ‘Tree to Get Ready’
  •        The Baseball gloves from ‘The Chronicles of Meap’
  •          The Platy-posterior from ‘Perry Lays an Egg’
  •        Rover from ‘Canderemy’
  •     The Phineas and Ferb robots from 'I,Brobot'

This is SUPER cool. I think this was the best thing in the Phineas and Ferb franchise. Well, until Candace Against the Universe comes out on Disney+ (or Disney+Hotstar in India) on August 28, 2020. This movie was FLAWLESS! Thank you, Povenmire and Swampy, for creating this.  

I wholeheartedly recommend this movie because:

  1.        The plot is super.
  2.        The characters are cool.
  3.        The voice acting is also fairly well.
  4.        The quotes are also funny. The most: Dr. D: Is every platypus named Perry? Phineas: In a perfect world, yes.
  5.        Overall, THE MOVIE IS DYNAMIC!
