The Founder (2016)

 Director: John Lee Hancock

Producer: Jeremy Renner

Cast: Michael Keaton (Ray Kroc), Nick Offerman (Dick McDonald), John Carroll Lynch (Mac McDonald)

AMAZING! Just remember, I’m lovin’ it, and you’ll be lovin’ it.

A struggling Illinois milkshake machine salesman named Ray visits San Bernadino, California to sell his multi-mixer to a restaurant, of which the system is supremely different than any other. Later, at a dinner with the founders, they reveal that they use the ‘Speedee’ system, a system that lowers the time required for a drive-thru meal from 30 minutes to 30 seconds. Intrigued by this idea, Ray tries to convince the founders to issue franchises, but they disagreed, because someone sold something else altogether. Ray decides to handle franchises. He asks his golf friend to make a franchise. However, that was a disaster as he sold literal fried chicken, not the real menu of hamburgers, fries, and soft drinks, so Kroc takes matters into his own hands. Want to know more? Watch the movie!

I loved the movie. I really feel hungry for a McPaneer Spicy now, but I won’t. The movie was good and all, but how can someone be so hell bent on business that they have no time for family? I hated that thing. Like seriously. Why will anyone do that? Unrelated fact (who cares): Bosnia and Herzegovina is divided between the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the Republika Srpska. Back to review. You see, claiming the first franchise as McDonald’s No. 1 is not good at all. First off, it’s a Franchise, NOT the original thing. Second off all, forcing the real founders to change their name because you now own the trademark is ILLEGAL. Third of all, wait, what?

(Cheesy laugh track plays in the background)

Wait.

(Cue laugh track again)

PLEASE STOP!

(Cue laugh track yet one more time)

DJ, I GET YOU’RE HAVING FUN BUT THIS IS SERIOUS.

Anyways the flaws are in the paragraph.

I wholeheartedly recommend this movie because:

1.       It has a good premise.

2.       It has realistic acting.

3.       It has good visuals.

4.       Everything except thing I mentioned in the para are awesome!

5.       Overall, THIS MOVIE IS ADMIRABLE!
